<itunes:summary>Nick and Christina had an absolutely beautiful wedding. I did not do this wedding personally as they requested our ever-so-talented lead shooterJim Kearns. Jim is a full time News Photographer at WSYR-TV Channel 9 and such an asset to our team. He is very meticulous about his work and crosses every T and dots every I. He has taught me a thing or two about organization, as it gets crazy around here mid summer.I wanted to highlight this wedding because the ceremony did not go as smoothly as planned for us. We don’t just show you the “jewels in our crown” so to speak, where the day flows perfectly, but we are also proud to highlight the weddings that have not gone so perfectly. About an hour before the wedding, it started raining cats and dogs. One of our camera’s reacted with condensation build up from the humidity and rain on the record heads and some of the footage from the balcony at church was not usable. Fortunately, this is why we do a multiple camera shoot, just in case. It is an additional cost for us to have extra shooters but it’s worth it when problems arise. We were able to put a beautiful video together for them that I have posted below. Jimmy and I worked on this since last September, fine tuning it and making a “custom” video for Nick and Christina and we put together a fantastic video for them. We also added a 40 minute highlight DVD for them that they can show family and friends without any interruptions. It flows smoothly and doesn’t lag anywhere in the video. It moves quickly and is very entertaining to watch. It’s a condensed version of the full length DVD that they originally received.Jim also had the pleasure of working with Rebecca from Rebecca’s Photography and one of our favorite DJ’s, Brian Oddo on this job. Brian and I have been friends and colleagues for almost 15 years and it is always a special treat to work with him. (if he had a website, I would link you to it) Jimmy had the best time working with Brian. They are both such great guys and so good at what they do.Rebecca has become one of my closest friends and I respect her as photographer and business woman. They all are one of the reasons I love my job. I get to spend time with such great people. (Although ALL of the guys who work with me fight over who gets to work with Rebecca.) I was sorry that I didn’t get to do this wedding as I would have loved to work with Nick and Christina personally as well as with Brian and Rebecca, but after they requested Jim, I took another wedding and was having my own fun working at the Casino. Thank you Nick and Christina for working with us on your special day. Your wedding and reception was beautiful! Ceremony Reception </itunes:summary>

Her gown fit like a glove. She missed her calling of becoming a model. Stefan made a very handsome groom and it is very clear how much he loves Heather. They make such a great looking couple. The Liverpool Methodist Church was decorated so beautifully with all kinds of Easter plants and the minister’s homily was very touching and inspiring. On such a cold windy day, the smell of the flowers made all of us feel like spring was right around the corner. The Photographers Matt and Sarah of Picture Infinity were a joy to work with. They made working the wedding so easy. As you can see, the images are gorgeous. Check out their website for more. They sent me these photos to put on the blog along with a very sweet note which read:“Dear Marybeth! It was great to finally meet you and work with you at the wedding. I feel like we made a new friend and hopefully we will get many more chances to work with you soon. You are so easy to work with and we had fun.”The reception was non stop. After FX was the chosen entertainment for the night and did they rock the Genesee Grande! The dance floor was packed all night. They have this tremendous horn section with 4 fantastic soul singers. They sang everything from Stevie Wonder to Earth, Wind and Fire..... my personal favorites, so I really enjoyed the evening. Too much fun! My dear friends Stephanie and Randy Boivin were invited guests and are expecting their first child next month. (Heather was in Stephanie’s wedding that we did back in October of 2005.)I have selected 3 clips for you to view..... Heather’s Preparations, some Reception Fun and the Wedding Day Highlights. Thank you Heather and Stefan for allowing us to be part of your beautiful day! ENJOY!</itunes:summary>

So easy to work with. We started out at the Genesee Grande Hotel where Jen and Joe were getting ready. (check out the clip of her preparation)Jimmy and Stephanie met up with me at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Church. (it was a 3 camera shoot)I walked in the door and was blown away by how beautifully decorated it was.Christmas trees galore and what seemed to be a sea of red poinsettia’s brought the altar to life. Just breath taking. Check out these clips - Pre Ceremony and VowsBut the Highlight of the day was the Reception! Back to the Genesee Grande. OH MY GOSH, I cannot remember when I had this much fun while working. These people came to party and boy did they. The Maria DeSantis Band provided the reception entertainment and it was out of the box! The dance floor was packed the entire night right from the first song after dinner.... and the wedding party brought props! There were hats and wigs passed around all night and I have to tell you, I was laughing so hard, it was difficult to keep my camera steady. It’s amazing how people take on a different persona when they wear the simplest of fun accessories. Even Maria wore the “Ernie head” for a while. I am having so much fun editing this wedding as well. I am just laughing through the whole thing. Watch this fun reception clip.....Dance floor was packed and I had no where to go but up....Truthfully, I was really sad when the reception ended. I was having such a great time working this event, I wanted it to continue all night. What a great time! Thanks Jen and Joe for a fabulous day!</itunes:summary>

I spent this entire week in Jacksonville, Florida attending seminars and training sessions sponsored by The 4ever Group Information and Education Conference. This has been not only professionally beneficial, but personally rewarding as well. The people I have met from the time my plane left JFK, (Bill the NYC Fire Fighter/Tour Boat Captain I sat next to for 3 hours, we laughed all the way to Jacksonville) to the caliber of videographers who attended this event has been such a blessing. I ran into old friends from past WEVA Conventions (namely Dennis Hopkins from Armatos in NYC. He sells me all of my equipment and I spent plenty with him today....I love Dennis). Sol Comerchero from Anton Bauer, also sold me some really cool new gadgets that I cannot wait to share with the guys. (Sol and I also spent quality time together trying to solve the worlds problems. GOOD NEWS.... WE DID!) Also, I have met some of the greatest videographers in the US and Canada. Everyone I met brought something to the table. All were so knowledgeable, experienced, personable and eager to share their ideas and information with the rest of us. I also took a 2 day intensive course with renowned videographer Randy Stubbs from San Diego, California. This was a hands on training session which included shooting and editing. Worth every penny. Randy was a great teacher. Very enthusiastic and patient. Robert Allen from New Jersey gave a very moving seminar on reminding our potential clients the importance of video.I learned not so much new shooting techniques from him, but why I got into this business in the first place, the enthusiasm we have for what we do, how a wedding video can change so many lives in so many different ways, the importance of creativity and passion for what we do, etc, etc. It was fantastic. Sometimes all it takes is for someone to remind us of how fortunate we are.Sandy and Steve Dial from Mind’s Eye Video in Houston, Texas has been the highlight of my trip. They brought one of their guys, Rueben with them who is just adorable. I think Sandy and I were separated at birth (even though she is of asian decent.) We took to each other right away like we have known each other forever. She knew so many people here and took me under her wing and introduced me to the best in the biz. Steve is an absolute doll. I reminded her how fortunate she is to have Steve in her life. HE IS ONE OF A KIND. We went to networking party after networking party. I have got to have Sandy and Steve up to shoot with us! What a great team they make. As a reward for all of our hard work, The 4ever Group sponsored a Mardi Gras party at Twisted Martini, a hot spot next to the Hyatt Regency, where we all stayed and the event was held. We had the best time, just getting to know one another and having fun, recharging our batteries for the next round of classes the next day. Dennis and I tore up the dance floor and believe it or not, he danced me under the table. I had to wave the white flag. His energy was out of the box. I also had the pleasure of meeting and connecting with a gentleman from Waco Texas, Chris Jones. He is the spitting image of Keith Urban. Wise beyond his 32 years... very intelligent and well spoken. He is the proprietor of Mason Jar Productions. We too spent some time analyzing and solving problems, but this was of the “personal relationships with people” kind. This was a harder nut to crack than solving the worlds problems though, but we made some startling discoveries and put a lot of things in perspective. Again, wise </itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Working with Tiffany was an absolute joy. I cannot rememberwhen I worked with a bride so full of energy and enthusiasm about her wedding or her video than Tiffany. I love this girl! She has the most infectious laugh. When she starts laughing, I start laughing. Just an adorable girl. When I got to the Sheraton University Hotel where she was getting ready, thick black clouds rolled in rather quickly. Within minutes, a torrential rain storm hit Syracuse with a vengeance. Unfortunately, Tiffany had scheduled an outdoor wedding up at Thornden Park Rose Garden, next to the waterfall. Tiffany’s response to the whole mess was “oh well”. She was so great about it. But, by the time the wedding ceremony itself was to take place, it had stopped raining. The grounds were beautiful, soggy but beautiful. Alex was a nervous wreck as we waited for Tiffany to arrive, but once he saw her walk down the brick paved walkway, he teared up and immediately relaxed. The Reception was at the Wyndham hotel. Rick took care of shooting it for me and did such a fantastic job! This bride danced and partied ALL NIGHT!He worked so hard just keeping up with her and their guests who danced right along with her. Alex made it out to the dance floor for a few tunes, but it was Tiffany who clearly set the tone for the reception.I loved working with Tiffany and Alex. What a great couple! They had a fabulous honeymoon cruising the South Pacific and have since settled into their home in Freeport, NY.</itunes:summary>
