<itunes:summary>I am pleased to introduce Peter Bradley Adams, co-founder and former member of the Folk/Americana duo Eastmountainsouth. Peter interviewed with us a couple weeks ago, a few days antecedent to the August 5 release of his second solo album titled “leavetaking.” Thus far the reaction from the online music community to this album has been stunning. As one reviewer at RevolutionMuzak blog put it, Peter is “heart and soul with a guitar.” This podcast interview proves Peter’s personality to be just as genuine as his music -- a nice thing to know in a world where people often produce art with the sole intent of making a profit. Clearly this album stemmed from a genuine desire to express -- That’s why it’s so beautiful. Learn more about the creation of Peter’s new album here on the Sarathan Pod.Featured Peter Bradley Adams songs:1) The Longer I Run2) So Are You To MeYou can purchase the album here.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Two Loons for Tea combines Sarah Scott’s hauntingly beautiful vocals and colorfully imaginative lyrics with Jonathan Kochmer’s vivid musical vision. Their third album, “Nine Lucid Dreams,” is a diverse musical journey with atmospheres that shift from being as lush as the Seattle landscapes to as arid and spare as the west-Texas desert. The Jungian visions range from intimate confessions to colorful character sketches, in which an eclectic melange of pop, jazz, folk, and ambient worlds collide.Listen in to this podcast to hear about the Loons’ more fantastical performing experiences and glean insight into the two fun and quirky characters behind the musical adventure that is “Nine Lucid Dreams.”Featured Two Loons for Tea songs on this podcast are:1) Marietta2) Toxic Shellfish in the Sun3) Everything is Temporary</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Feral Children just released their debut album "Second to the Last Frontier," produced by Scott Colburn, the mastermind who recorded Animal Collective's "Strawberry Jam" and producer of Arcade Fire.Right now I'm going with the term "experimental rock" to describe their sound, but I don't think this abstract label quite captures the tribal, animalistic aura the band exudes. I tend to think of myself as a relaxed, chipper person who has her act together, but when I listen to this music I feel it appealing to a darker side of me... a wild, unabashed, semi-abrasive side. I seem like the most unlikely candidate, but I'm hooked now. I figure that's a good sign for this band. And check it out, I'm not the only one with something good to say about this group:"...spastic Isaac Brock-meets-Avey Tare shouts and atmospheric guitars over dual tribal drums."- Marc Hogan, Pitchfork"...a healthy dose of shimmering, experimental indie-rock that sometimes exudes a maniacal, pounding zest."-Matt Kiser, CMJ (College Music Journal)Feral Children songs featured on this podcast are:1. Spy/Glass House2. Jaundice Giraffe3. Russian Fingers / Roman HandsWhat? Did I hear you say you wanted their EP for free?Okay!
