<itunes:summary>The time is coming close to funding this project and I was just thinking about some of the potential uses of the media in this proposal. Just what can we do that we can’t do now or what can we do better. Here are just a very few ideas of how this project can be put to use in the clubhouse.Well, for one thing, we can have wonderful entertainment, from the outside or right here from within the Oasis. Many great and talented musical groups, will be able to entertain us, on stage, with terrific, clear sound, with professional lighting and effects. The ballroom can become a venue for live entertainment, of great and varied quality. As a total community, we have the power to bring shows that are of professional stature. That power includes not only a potentially large sized audience, with money to pay for quality acts, but a room which will have the acts themselves clamoring to preform here, once the word gets out. I do the website for a small entertainment venue in Altadena, CA. This room, behind a coffee house holds only 45 people draw near full houses for each performance and each performance is different and of high quality. Those act come back over and over again to the Coffee Gallery Backstage, mostly because they love the room, with its lighting and sound and because they draw audiences that rave about the entertainment.Take a look at some of the acts that play this house at http://www.coffeegallery.com. I’m not saying that we will get this type of entertainment, but it certainly is a possibility. With a room that is great we will draw superb entertainment! When we have dances, we will have great sound. You’ll be able to hear the singer’s performance and separate it from the band or recording. And you be able to see who’s on stage, even from the rear of the room. We plan on the new lighting not only to light the stage, but to add atmosphere to the front dance floor, with lighting effects, color and mood setting changeable patterns. Ah, romance will be in the air!Think about the Oasis players, putting on “real” dramatic or comedic plays that you will be able to see and hear. The difference between now and when all the equipment will be installed will be tremendous and add your enjoyment of the great performances that we will see and hear. Now picture this. You walk into the front half of the ballroom with our folding doors closed in the center. The lights are half dimmed, soft music plays as you find your seat in the ”new Oasis movie theater” with 200 chair set in theater style. The room is transformed into a movie theater. In front of you is a large 16 by 9 foot movie screen, showing beautiful still views of a recent vacation the someone in the Oasis just took. The music fades, the lights dim and on the screen now is the beginning scenes of the nights feature movie presentation. The sound comes up and you realize that it is coming from your left and from your right and even from behind you. Your listening to full surround sound that is clear, sharp and has a dimension never before heard in this ballroom. The picture is large, bright and truly has a movie theater feel to it.All of this is possible with the equipment proposed for the ballroom (and popcorn too.)Think of the possibilities: entertainment, documentaries, educational and informational presentations that can be seen and heard, even if you have a hearing problem, because of the assisted listening device that you can wear, if needed.I could go on and on, but I do get carried away. The possibilities for our “new” ballroom are endless, only stifled by a lack of imagination. If you have some uses for the “new” media ballroom which you would like to share, please do. We all would love to read them. Just click the “add a comment” link below and add you thoughts. Thanks.</itunes:summary>
