St. Louis was hit with ice, a lot of ice. It came fast and went fast. They say if you don’t like the weather in St. Louis, just wait 5 minutes. My in-laws, despite their busy wedding-planning time, volunteered to drive out and help more with house preparations. I think they wanted to make certain we did it all the “correct” way, as all parents do.The ice came on the the planned day of travel. I

My daughter turned five today. And she loves the New Town Sales Center. They got candy, toys, movies, other visiting kids, and salespeople that think she is just plain cute. That’s why we go there. She doesn’t like the fact that sometimes going to New Town involves other activities. We have been trying to explain to her all these interesting new concepts associated with the move. Here are some an

The first response we get when we mention we are selling our house is, “Isn’t this the worst time of year to sell a house?” and “Isn’t the market too terrible to sell a house?”So we have chosen to sell our house in the worst time of the worst market. Cool.Luckily the St. Louis housing market never went coo-coo high, so it had a quick trip back to normal. The market here just ain’t that bad. Ti

Preparing the house has been a huge task. Not because we don’t keep house, but because we are home-improvement addicts that had many unfinished tasks. My parents came in and helped finish some (as they should seeing how this move is a direct cause of their earlier visit). Stephanie’s parents came in and did the same.Their help was crucial to getting the house sellable by this time. Thank you.A
